DORSET

Durdle Door

Lulworth Cove

Bournemouth

A weekend out with my lovely 'kinder surprise egg' in Dorset. Taking an early train to Bournemouth so that we arrive in time to get our 'Discover Dorset' bus at 11 AM, which was fantastic, nice views, very charming bus driver, only the weather was quite windy and a bit rainy. But fortunately when we got off of our bus in Durdle Door we walked down the hill to the nice beaches and the nature there is just amazing as you can tell from the pics. Then we walked up the hill and down on the other side to get to Lulworth Cove, also a very nice place to see. We went to some of the local shops and bought some souvenires then had a nice quiet walk at the coast, walked back and had some tea (burgers at a take away) on the way to the bus. (oh and ice cream of course so we nearly didn't get to the bus in time haha)

Actually we then wanted to get to our Airbnb room, get changed and then get dinner somewhere, also already chose that we really fancy some pizza. But... we were so tired that we thought a tiny nap would be good... Finally woke up 10 minutes to midnight and then decided to not get out of bed for anything and just had the food we actually bought for the next day in Bourenmouth... But then fortunately had no problem with getting up very early to go to the Oceanarium with our bags packed already, but the lovely host said we could leave them there, and get them anytime that suits us, so we went with our prebooked tickets to the Oceanarium, which is quite small, but still very impressive, because you don't get to see sharks or turtles that close that often... When we had a spear hour between the feedings of the animals we went to the restaurant in there. The menues were quite expensive, just like you also expect it from a zoo... So we decided to save money and just have something small, which turned out to be a very extra large portion... ^^ We had cheese with fries instead of cheesy fries, but they were really good, and I so love cheese, there is no 'too much' for me, but it was just to heavy and no way to ever finish this haha.
