Cardiff (ˈkɑːrdɪf/WelshCaerdydd [kairˈdiːð, kaˑɨrˈdɨːð]) is the capital and largest city in Wales and the tenth largest city in the United Kingdom.

The first daytrip with a friend I met through Facebook just a few days before in Richmond, who's also a German Au Pair in London. Took the bus from London Victoria with three complete strangers and my new mate (two more Germans and a Swedish girl). It was my first time in Wales and I enjoyed it a lot, though Welsh sounds quite weird and is impossible to read..

We were very lucky with the weather and those bus rides are really really cheap. We started near the park where Cardiff Castle is, then had a quick walk through the park to the castle, spent quite a while inside there (BBC1 had some sort of concert there). We then walked to the museum and one of the girls did some geocaching near there and we bought ourselves some ice cream to cool down. The museum was quite interesting. After that we walked back and went a bit downtown, bought some food and then took the boat near the castle to Cardiff bay, walked all the way down the coast, again some more geocaching near the Dr Who studios, took a few pictures, had a little snack, went back to the bay and had dinner on a balcony with a nice sea view in an Italian restaurant. And finally back home.
